Welcome to Jordan Dickson for Modesto City Schools 2013! As a proud graduate of Modesto City Schools and Stanford University, I am excited about the future of our school district. I have had the opportunity to help a few children find their own paths to success while working as a basketball coach and elementary school mentor, but my work doesn’t stop there. As a member of the Modesto City School Board, I believe that all of us can help every child in Modesto City Schools find a way to succeed - to be proud of what they can accomplish.
This all starts in the classroom. I will serve as an advocate for student-centric classrooms, for bringing our classrooms into the 21st century through investment in new technology, for fiscal responsibility, and for bringing our most talented students back to Modesto to educate our next generation.
Success for Every Student is a real goal - a goal whose outcome will take many different shapes, sizes, and paths because each of our students is unique. Each student has the power to find his or her own way of winning. We will help them find the path that works best for them, even if it’s different than what we’re used to. Because at the end of the day, we all have the same goal - making the opportunity of Success for Every Student a reality.
Our kids deserve the best. I’m excited to work together to make "Success for Every Student" a reality. But I can’t do it by myself. I need your help. It doesn’t matter whether you can donate 20 minutes or 20 days, $20 or $20,000. Anything you can give will help us help our students.
